Fair and sustainable invoicing since 2018
Fair was founded in 2018 with a clear mission: to change an industry that had remained the same for far too long. From day one, we believed that invoice distribution and debt collection could be done differently – with fairness, innovation, and respect for the people behind every payment. That belief became our name, and our promise.
How it all started
We set out to challenge outdated practices and build solutions that put the customer experience first. By combining technology, transparency and human insight, we began shaping services that were easier to understand, simpler to use, and genuinely more sustainable for everyone involved — companies and payers alike.
What started as a small, ambitious team quickly developed into one of the most exciting growth stories in the Nordic fintech and financial services landscape. Our invoice distribution services expanded rapidly, and today we send tens of millions of invoices every year across the Nordics. Our debt-collection services grew just as quickly, earning recognition as one of Norway’s fastest-growing companies.
Behind the growth is a simple idea: financial services work best when they are built with empathy and designed around people.

Technology at the core
From the beginning, technology has been central to our development. We’ve invested heavily in building and owning our platforms – not just to innovate faster, but to ensure full control over the customer experience. The acquisition of core system technology in 2025 marked an important milestone, strengthening our foundation for the future and allowing us to create even more intuitive and fair solutions.
Becoming a Nordic partner
As our services matured, so did our ambitions. In 2024, we expanded our operations into Sweden, Denmark and Finland, taking the first major step toward becoming the preferred partner for Nordic companies with cross-border needs. Strategic partnerships and acquisitions have strengthened our offerings, broadened our sector footprint, and accelerated our growth.
Looking ahead
Today, Fair is a modern financial technology group with a clear purpose and a strong Nordic presence. But our journey is only beginning. We will continue to create solutions that make financial interactions smoother, more transparent, and more humane — because fairness isn’t just a principle for us. It’s who we are.
